From Digitalisation to Human Collaboration – We Are Entering Industry 5.0
We are experiencing a paradigm shift. After mechanisation, mass production, electronics and automation, we have now entered the fifth industrial revolution – where collaboration between humans and machines is at the centre.
Industry 5.0 is not only about technological advancement, but about how technology can enhance human creativity, empathy and problem-solving ability. It is about designing working lives and organisations where people evolve alongside technology – not are replaced by it.
5IR serves as the hub for this way of thinking. It is not merely a website or a project, but a knowledge platform that brings together research, practice and strategic governance. Through 5IR, we enable collaboration between municipalities, industry and the education sector to drive a sustainable, inclusive and learning labour market.
Here, we also document our work on model development, impact, dissemination and partnerships. We see 5IR as an open arena for dialogue on future skills – regionally, nationally and internationally.
Core Values
Our core values are more than words – they are guiding principles that shape how we think, act and develop our work. They help us stay on course in times of change, make decisions that create long-term value, and build a culture where people and technology work together.
Within the ESF project Kompetens 5.0, we operate based on three core values: Courage, Relationships and Curiosity.
Courage – We Dare to Challenge the Status Quo
Working with skills development in a time of transition requires courage – the courage to question established ways of working, to test new approaches and to embrace change. In the project, we encourage both individuals and organisations to step outside their comfort zones, experiment with new technologies and think differently. Courage is the key to development.
Relationships – We Believe in the Power of Collaboration
Sustainable results are not created in isolation. We build trust, understanding and engagement by nurturing strong relationships – between employees, between companies and between municipalities. We listen, share knowledge and build networks that last over time. In a complex world, relationships are our most valuable resource.
Curiosity – We Are Open to What We Do Not Yet Know
Curiosity drives learning, innovation and change. We see questions as a strength and every new insight as an opportunity to grow. By exploring new technologies, new perspectives and new ways of working, we stay relevant – and build future skills together.
Vision
People in interaction with technology for sustainable opportunities
Mission
We enable digital competence and creativity that strengthen individuals and organisations
Goals
Project goals will be achieved through our developed modules and by creating a method that can be implemented in three municipalities within Familjen Helsingborg during the project period.
Strategies
The modules will be packaged and delivered, and a dissemination method will be developed to reach three municipalities within Familjen Helsingborg.
Action Plan
The operational strategy is built on three levels:
Individual, Organisation and System
-
Individual – Focus on self-leadership and AI training.
-
Organisation – Understand and apply the AI Act within organisational processes.
-
System – Provide support and structure for change across the entire organisation – we take the organisation by the hand and guide it through the time we are living in.
